As you read the title this journal is referring to the excessive amount of AI generated images that's been starting to populate DA, just like how the community made this post about AI art.

Art in my opinion and I think according to many others is something that expresses a certain artist by originality, creativity and style... something that's unique and outstanding, AI art is not any of those, and I will never accept/consider AI generated images as "art" neither the people as "artists" who use AI, no matter how anyone puts it. Something that takes years of practice and perfection is not comparable to something that takes zero skills and practice and is only done by inputting command prompts into a machine, and the fact that DA is endorsing AI art as a new trend goes against what this entire site stands for. AI generated images are good if you need a quick render of an image to use as a thumbnail, cover, whatever but using it to show off as an "artist" is fake.

You can't take credit for something that's not yours, or you didn't make. You can't just generate an image in 2 minutes and claim it as your "art". Art needs to be original, unique and relatable to the artist, AI content is not relatable to the artist, nor unique and original.

That's my take on "AI art" agree or disagree all you want, I won't accept AI images as "art" or the people who use AI as "artists".

Maretime Bay Days were approaching to Maretime Bay, everyone was focused on making the best festival in town to the point where they do not notice or pay attention to the fact that apparently the magic crystals were malfunctioning or as detective Zipp stated "glitching" due to the pegasi, unicorn and earth pony divisions quarrelling with each other once in a while. Although it is fair to say that everyone is just getting used to magic, I find it hard to believe no one besides Zipp ever noticed a giant rainbow column of magic emerging from the lighthouse malfunction once in a while. Detective Zipp once noticing something is wrong she dedicated herself to be the Twilight in the Canterlot Wedding episode in FiM and to find out and prove to her friends that something is not quite right despite having all of her friends not believing her until the last minute where it was obvious that everything controlled by magic went awol and discord broke out in Maretime Bay. Posey the jealous earth pony who wanted magic badly saw an opportunity in the ponies blaming each other to convince them that magic should not be welcomed in Maretime Bay and everyone should just go back to living as it was before magic was restored, although she was soon proven wrong once earth ponies acquired magical abilities as well such as growing plants and Hitch understanding animals upon working together once again with the pegasi and unicorns to fix the disharmony among the divisions. Once the ponies regained control over magic a not so ominous and totally not a villain pony from wherever made a notice that the ponies in Maretime Bay "regained the magic once again that belonged to her"... I don't know what to make out of this but I can definitely say for sure that it's a foreshadow of a new villain, which I am not against since I don't think we have ever seen a villain in G5 yet. Also interesting to notice that the ominous villain was an alicorn which makes me question who is she really? An evil descendant of Twilight? One of Twilight's accomplished pupil from a long time ago who chose to become a villain for whatever reason?

Let's also make a mention of the new baby dragon Hitch found on a beach as an egg, who's now definitely gonna become the new "Spike" of the main group. Not much to say about that to be honest but I like the fact that G5 is taking the FiM approach that the main 5 needs a baby dragon assistant/friend and I also like the fact that it took the same resolution as FiM to introduce the new dragon member of the group.

I think this was a fun special, the plot felt a bit generic and the pacing was a bit slow but overall it was enjoyable. The songs were, mediocre but not too bad, there was one song though which was horrible but it was really short so I don't know if it even considers as a song. I rate this special a 6/10 (decent) definitely nowhere near close as good as the G5 movie but not bad for a special episode.

So, the next generation of MLP has been launched and we kick off with a flashback to the Gen 4 heroes in the perspective of Sunny Starscout depicting how the ponies once lived in harmony and love. In the beginning Sunny's father/mentor Argyle Starshine encouraged her that the peace between ponies could be restored one day and harmony will rule the land, hearing the words of her father Sunny determined herself to make peace between the pony races and stop the everlasting fear. The next day, when her father passed away for some reason, Sunny was left on herself with the commitment to make friendship between the races, of course her friends in her town didn't believe her. Later after the events a unicorn called Izzy barged into the town with the purpose of visiting Argyle which ended up in a chaos resulting in Izzy and Sunny having to leave the town and search up the rest of the race's kingdoms in order to find out how they could restore the magic between the races. On their journey they bump into a pegasus named Zipp who lead them into the place of the pegasi. Izzy and Sunny were detained by the queen of the pegasi Queen Haven but Zipp let them out and showed them the way how they could restore the magic, by having to collect all 3 of the gems of an amulet which represented each pony races. Stealing the first gem ended up in some minor inconveniences given the fact that they had to steal it directly of the queen. Meanwhile back in the town of the earth ponies, Hitch went after Sunny and Izzy in the purpose of bring them back in their town and detain them however no one came with him so he went all by himself leaving his jealous second in command sheriff Sprout to watch over the town. Hitch eventually found a lead to the pegasi city via the news of a unicorn and an earth pony causing some distress in the pegasi town. Izzy and Sunny's plan to steal the gem almost went to south but thankfully Pipp, the sister of Zipp saved it by bringing the gem to them. Hitch has caught up to the gang however he and the rest had to leave once again since they were being chased by the pegasi guards. Once they reached out of town their next goal was to get to the place of the unicorns to get the final gemstone in order to complete the amulet and restore the magic among the pony races. Hitch was forced to tag along and eventually got convinced of the fact that harmony between the pony races could be restored. Once they reached the town of the magicless unicorns they found the last gem they needed however they had to get it by having to gamble it from a unicorn who basically gambled everyone's belonging in the town. Sunny was determined to gamble the gemstone back and she succeeded. Once they got all the gemstones they headed back to Sunny's place to fix the amulet however things didn't go smooth since Sprout in the meanwhile built up a dictatorship in the tow of earth ponies and forced all the citizens to go on a war against the different pony races. Thankfully despite all the forces against them they managed to reconstruct the gems but all for nothing since the real magic was having the ponies reunite again. Sunny managed to achieve peace between the races eventually, fix the gemstones and restore the magic between the races therefore becoming the new Princess of Friendship in just a 90 minutes movie plot.

This honestly was a fun movie, nice introduction of the series and the new cast, the show's new CGI style of animation was pretty neat and it makes the viewers think where this new series is gonna evolve. I feel like despite the success of the new MLP movie I feel like it's falling behind the 2017 Gen 4 movie due to the fact that the new Gen 5 movie didn't feature that many remarkable characters, which the G4 movie did such as Tempest, Songbird Serenade and so on. The fact that right off the bat Sunny becomes an alicorn makes us think where is her journey gonna be heading, is she gonna work her way up the throne like how Twilight did after season 3 or is she gonna be the ambassador of the pony races? Many ways they can direct her story. The idea of bringing modern day technology in the MLP universe while they still manage to keep the magic of the show up is quite unique and creative, they made the new show in a way that it can appeal for those who want to see some irl relatabe things in the show such as smartphones, social media etc. and for those who want to see the transient magic of the show, really makes me think what the technology and magic combined will result from the show. Hopefully we also get an explanation how the races were divided once again and what caused it, but I guess it's too early for that since we're only at the beginning. The songs were pretty nice however nothing out of the ordinary, just some generic song we got used to in Friendship is Magic, the songs were also one of the reason why I think the G5 movie falls behind the G4 movies since in the G4 movie the songs were more unique and they were more relatable to the characters. Regardless the G5 movie was a pretty solid hit and looking forward I am only eager to see what they will do next.

What's actually interesting is that I heard leaks that Pipp Petals is actually gonna be a princess in G5. Hmm, interesting, does this information crosses out the chances of alicorns existing in G5 or she's gonna be the princess of a single pony race? That's not out of the question because in G4 we also had a same scenario where a single pony race has a leader, mainly Princess Platinum.... It kinda would make sense if Pipp turned out to be a princess since judging by her design, she does look a tad regal, and the headdress she's wearing is basically a crown or a royal accessory from ancient Roman time... unless she's like Rarity and likes to wear anything fancy.

I know this might be fake news and can easily shrugged it off but we don't know anything about the G5 universe so basically any speculation/rumor can be considered valid at this stage.

How do I know this? I know this because I heard about an official toy line which addressed Pipp as "princess", so I don't know for sure if that's just a marketing catch or can actually be real. What do you guys think?
